It is not easy going through these times as we fight against the unknown of the new Covid-19 virus. However, be reminded that the Lord will take us through this ordeal. Our troubles won’t last forever.
It is very important that we all continue to practise social distancing, wear our masks, wash or sanitize our hands after touching surfaces. Avoid touching our faces (eyes, nose and mouth), eat fruits and vegetables, drink 8 glasses of water or more daily, take our vitamins and get adequate sleep.
I know sleeping is a difficult task at this time because the fear of the Coronavirus can keep us awake at nights; but worrying will not get us anywhere either. In fact, when we worry we put our bodies under stress and we weaken our immune system which can cause us to become more susceptible to Covid-19 or any other virus.
If you believe that you, someone in your family or any other person in your community is infected with Coronavirus, call the National Health Hotline in your country. Here in Jamaica, you would call 888-ONE-LOVE (663-5683); 888-754-7792; 876-542-5998; 876-542-6006/7; or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
